The Floating Fly is a website dedicated to promoting the fine art of Dry fly fishing with special emphasis on techniques used by master dry fly fishers from around the globe, a site that is dedicated to those who seek the skills and art of pursuing fish with the flies that float.
The Floating fly has made a nonexhaustive list of the best dry fly anglers that are out there worldwide. Each one is a major influence in the field of dry fly fishing with their own unique style in their particular country.
As a virtual bank of knowledge we will have the greatest incentive to describe and preserve priceless information form Dry Fly masters for future generations. This is particularly true for forgotten or lost traditions that may be preserved. The Elders with the most knowledge may not have the technological knowhow to document all their valuable information. The body of The Floating Fly is an archive of knowledge in its own right, a form of knowledge which needs to be passed onto future generations. There will be no language border or language boundary, together with the great help of other dry fly masters from all over the world we will document and translate the precious thoughts and experiences of seasoned anglers and preserve them for future generations.
